Vecteezy: A Free Vector Editor!

If you’ve been looking for a free vector editor to make quick and easy vector graphics and designs without interrupting your workflow, Vecteezy has just released their new editing program, the Vecteezy Editor.

Vecteezy is a design community that offers downloads of free stock vector graphics as well as premium stock vector graphics, illustrator brushes, silhouettes, vector wallpaper backgrounds, and more. Their new Vecteezy Editor will allow users to edit graphics right in their browser, and download in a variety of formats.

The Editor is a scaled down program modeled after some of the most popular illustrating software on the market. Since it’s part of the Vecteezy website, users can easily search the site for a design (such as “dancing cats,” “party balloons,” or “people cheering”), choose one of the designs from the results, then use the editing program to modify the design in any way they chooseall right from their browser.

This streamlined process allows users to create a design right on the Vecteezy website without having to open other programs, saving time and making the entire project a snap

According to Shawn Rubel, Vecteezy CEO, the user-friendly design of the Vecteezy Editor makes it simple for graphics designers to customize their designs in any way they need, right in the browser, “without interrupting their workflow.”

The “user-friendly” aspect he refers to is the simplified menu in Vecteezy Editor. Although experienced designers may prefer a more detailed menu, beginners can use the Vecteezy Editor with ease, requiring little to no help. The streamlined functionality of the menu offers options of Text Tool, Selection Tool, Pen Tool, Background Tool, and a Templates Button. There are no other options showing on the menu, making it simple to find and use the correct tool needed.

Adam Gable, the CTO of Vecteezy, says that his team feels really good about the Editor they’ve produced. Each member of the team tested it out, experimenting with it throughout the design process. This trial and error testing helped them work out any kinks and helped them “make a user-friendly product.”

The Vecteezy Editor was designed with a positive user experience in mind, eliminating any frustration and ensuring that even a complete beginner could navigate the menu and program options with ease, allowing them to understand and adapt to it quickly.

A positive user experience means that designers will return again and again to use this simple editor whenever they have a quick project to complete. Stopping quickly to whip up a quick graphic on the Vecteezy Editor, then return to the project at hand, means less distraction, less time spent on the task, and the ability to get more work done.

The editor, combined with the endless choices of free and premium graphics on the Vecteezy website, will make these tasks a breeze. It’s a editing software that anyone can understand and learn to use quickly, and best of all, it’s completely free.
